(Mt) Glorious Day

Sun came back out today, so after lunch I headed for Mt Nebo.  It was a glorious day to be out and, of course, I was wearing glorious socks - Endura BaaBaa Merino cycling socks.  Black, 'natch. (you don't know how happy your feet can be)

New photochromic sunglasses were pretty groovy too.  Best $32 I have spent in...days...

Tough climb was followed by a tough descent down the Mt Glorious road - 15% on wet roads...scary.  Horrible rough surface back into Samford and then the rat-run home. 

Am almost ready to watch the start of Le Tour tomorrow.  Glorious.

Life is too short to wear bad socks.  

This blog is going to be about socks.  And it isn't.  Confused?  Good.

I do love good socks, and will be acknowledging and celebrating some faves here, but it's also a metaphor, see.  Good things in life can be small, overlooked things, and the fact that they may be small or overlooked makes them no less glorious.
